I like 'em, but i'm probably gonna pass on this collection. Besides the fact I already...well, ok, my GIRLFRIEND already owns all these discs, this whole 2 NEW SONGS!! shit is getting MAD tired...
oooh, but wait...there's a new version of a Grateful Dead song too!

I may get this because I passed on Desert Life and Hard Candy, plus Einstein (which the only reason I keep my DGC rarities CD). I'm happy they put Anna Begins on there, only because everyone should hear that song. It's probably the most emotional song I've heard.

again, I own all the albums, no reason to have. Will there be a dvd of videos and live performances? I read on the site awhile ago the band was having some of their shows recorded and they were culling through material for a possible dvd.

I hope it is. I didn't like it but at least I would have it, I already have the initial release of "Hard Candy" with the Carlton-less version. I'm not crazy about either version, actually, but if it's the Carlton version on the "Films About Ghosts" disc, I'll have the choice of two versions of a song I don't like at the very least.

Limited Edition?
Hey all,
Does anyone have any info about the limited edition of this CD menitoned in this thread:
http://www.dvdtalk.com/forum/showthr...hreadid=330884
I wonder why it is so much more expensive. Cannot see a retailer like Best Buy carrying the t-shirt pack that is available through the Counting Crows web site.
Ay info would be appreciated!

Yeah, that's true, but at the end of the day, the variety is more important than the ability to jump immediately to the earlier version. To have easier access to the earlier version would be more convenient, but having the updated version available in addition to the earlier one still amounts to two different versions, which is more important to me than the ability to jump right to a track, especially since, as I said earlier, I'm not terribly fond of either one.

According to a review in Amazon, it's the Vanessa Carlton version.
