Favorite movie soundtrack of all time?
Hokay, what's your favorite movie soundtrack ever? By soundtrack here I guess I'm referring to one consisting of songs with lyrics rather than a purely orchestral score like "Star Wars" or "Superman." There've been a lot of great soundtracks though in the last 10-20 years especially, so what are some of your favorites?
I'd have to nominate these from my collection:
"Until The End Of The World" soundtrack from Wim Wenders movie, great collection of melancholy rock and pop from REM, Lou Reed, Talking Heads and more
"Say Anything" soundtrack, Cameron Crowe always chooses excellent music; ditto for the "Singles soundtrack, a perfect freeze-frame of a brief movement in music.
Anything from Quentin Tarantino's movies, they always make excellent mix collections.
I'm sure I can think of many more, but I'll turn it over to the peanut gallery..
