R.E.M.-Monster.
Automatic for the People was a masterpiece and then they came out with this p.o.s. Fortunately, the follow-up, New Adventures in HiFi is awesome.

I love Tori Amos, but I can't listen to this album. None of it screams out to me.
Every album of Tori's since Little Earthquakes has been a disappointment to me.Originally posted by LivingINClip

Under The Pink was moderately OK, but after that it seems she was trying to really push that spaced-out eclectic thing. It was nice when it was subtle, but then she threw it into overdrive and it wasn't as appealing anymore.

Chumbawamba Tubthumper
"Truth is, I thought it mattered. I thought that music mattered. But this is bollocks..." You said it, buddy. How can you go wrong with an infectiously catchy tune like Tubthumping? Just try and endure the rest of Chumbawamba's Tubthumper, a worse example of absolute shite you will not find. Take all the creepy elements that made you hate your sister's Abba records and wrap them in Brit-pop packaging. Throw in grisly Mamas and the Papas harmonies and set to a maddening Euro-techno soundtrack. That's Tubthumper.

There have been many. Some, on subsequent listens have become favorites (Talking Heads Fear of Music comes to mind, hated it first time, now it's my favorite of their albums).
A recent one, that hasn't become a favorite, that was really really disappointing: The Breeders Title TK

Sloan's "Pretty Together". The first track is the only song I find particularly listenable. I've given the album a try quite a few times, but I've only made it all the way through a fraction of the time. Awful, awful, awful.

Three Doors Down - The Better Life
"Krytopnite" was a rather good song, "Loser" is one of my all-time favorite songs. I didn't buy it just then but after I heard "When Im Gone" from there new album, I figured Id buy the first one and then the second. Although the album has a few good tracks, it was an overall very disappointing album. I found myself trying to make myself like the album, but I just can't.

The Golden Age Of Grotesque - Marilyn Manson. I had to return it the next day.

Recently - it was the new Prince abomination "N.E.W.S." that really pissed me off.
One long snooze of an album of "smooth jazz" instrumentals that show no trace of the genius who used to be known as "Prince."
