The Screen Savers had something about this the other day. They said you could download the song burn to a cd then rip it as an MP3 to play on the iPod.

Not sure how it works but i found this
http://www.wma-mp3.com/
then you can just straight encode it to mp3 instead of wasting a cd first

Don't rip from WMA to mp3, the quality will be terrible.

No, Napster has decided to use the WMP format for their downloads. If you want the best downloadable music for your iPod, download iTunes for Windows and enjoy!

Believe me, you won't even miss Napster after 5 minutes.

Enjoy!

The thing I like about Napster is that for a flat fee you can stream unlimited amounts of music. Is that the same with iTunes?

No, but why would you want to stream music? You can't take it with you and have ot be online to listen to it. I can listen to the radio for free.

I prefer streaming music, but I prefer Rhapsody to Napster. Why? I stream music while I'm at work. I have access to tens of thousands of albums for $10/mo -- instead of paying $0.99 a track to download.

I stream music at home too, and they even sell a device which will allow you to stream it to your stereo (wireless).

If I decide that I want to have the music in a more portable format, then I will either buy the CD or pay to download the tracks (with Itunes).

Streaming music rules. I can (legally) listen to new music the day it comes out. Tomorrow is new music Tuesday. How many albums is Itunes going to let you hear in its entirety for a low monthly cost?

Get an iPod now...

Holy hell am I glad I finally jumped ship on this one. With my student discount (which you get at Apple stores) the 20 GB iPod with the remote, case and other stuff was only $395.

I have fit pretty much all my punk CDs (many many CDs) and all my favorite classic rock, rap, and reggae songs with room to spare. It looks and feels great in my hand, and goes to sleep with me every night. Until I get a girlfriend again in my bed, this thing is my lifemate.

Get one

Hmm. I was thinking about wanting one for Christmas. Why is iPod better than the others out there right now?

I know VW is advertising one, but are there any car adapters commercially available?

Yes, any of the cassette adapters will work.

There is also a very nice FM adapter. Can't remember the name, but check out ipodlounge.com and you'll probably find it, there. If all else fails, ask in the accessories section of their forum.
