Aesop Rock - Bazooka Tooth

I haven't listened to it enough, but I'm not very impressed. Most of the production is garbage. I greatly prefer Aesop over old Blockhead and Blockhead-influenced Aesop to all this post-El-P crap. And I'm really sick of hearing indie rappers talk about indie rap. New subject matter please.

Float > Labor Days > Bazooka Tooth =

He rips it on "The Greatest Pac-Man Victory in History" though. That shit is . And the cover art is tight.

This is something I more appreciate than enjoy. A couple tracks are listenable, but the only reason I'd come back to it is to hearthat amazing El-P rant. Wow.

But it's been done so many times before. El-P has fallen into the Kool Keith "Beat the exact same lines/concepts to death" funk. I swear, I never ever want to hear how sick he is of "independent as fcuk." He played out using it ironically so long ago (after he got way too much mileage from using it regularly). And how horrible Rawkus was, how so many people say "hip-hop is over" again and again. Where are these people? And why are they listening to the new hip-hop releases? It's been dealt with. Over.

yeah the new aesop rock hasn't grown on me yet. maybe a few more listens though.
even what i've heard of the new atmosphere hasn't moved me as much as the past stuff especially Overcast.

am i getting bored with this kind of hip-hop or has it become boring?

My CD is still en route on a UPS truck(missed their last two deliv attampts), regardless,

I like the new Aesop, it's no Float, and it's certainly no Labor Days, but it's a good CD.

Same gos with the Atmosphere.
