Tell me about Longwave
Apparently another NY Garage band cracking the UK market before coming back to the us.

I bought The Strangest Things three weeks ago because I found it cheap. I didn't expect to like it that much, but it is in fact really catchy and I've been listening to it at least once a day. Pretty Strokes-y, but even more poppy. I definitely recommend it. The key tracks are 1, 2, 6, 7, and 9.

"The Strangest Things" grew on me...I hated it when I bought it (I was just off the heels of a growing hatred for Interpol). But, after a few listens, it really started sounding better. Proper reference point would be more Interpol than the Strokes, only because they go for that spacey-80's-Joy Division-type sound, though the lead singer can sometimes sound like pretty-boy Casablancas.
Drums sound awesome on the whole album, and it was recorded by super producer Dave Fridmann (Flaming Lips, Mercury Rev, Sparklehorse), which was actually the big selling point for me on this band.
