Since his death in 1996, a seemingly unlimited supply of 2Pac material has hit stores. Nearly a month after the seventh anniversary of his murder, 2Pac's former record label will add to the list with Death Row Presents 2Pac Nu-Mixx Klazzics.
Unlike the other posthumous 2Pac albums, Nu-Mixxx Klazzics, due October 7, doesn't feature new tracks but rather remixes classic and well-known 2Pac tracks from his days on Death Row Records. Label head Suge Knight, currently in jail oversaw the production of the album, employing in-house beatmakers Tha Row Hitters to remix the songs.
"We decided to take Pac's best tracks and spice them up a bit," said Knight, who, as the project's executive producer, hand-picked the cuts on the collection. "In that way, we could revisit the classics while also offering something new. I think we accomplished our goal and I'm sure that, if he were alive today, Pac would love what we've done."

has 2pac released more albums post-mortem than he did when he was alive? He's been dead like a decade... pretty soon they're gonna take interviews with him and put some cheesey beat behind it.

I heard Pac and Biggie recorded a lot of vocals before their deaths and that most were "half done". It should be obvious that these lyrics were not to be released to the public but since these guys don't have a say anymore.
Besides, there is a story that an unreleased Elvis song will come out later this year.

Afeni Shakur Believes 2Pac's Killer Is Dead
Afeni Shakur, the mother of slain rapper and actor Tupac "2Pac" Shakur, was recently interviewed by XXL magazine for the seventh anniversary of her son's death. Tupac Shakur was shot and mortally wounded in a drive-by shooting in Las Vegas, Nevada in September of 1996. No one has ever been charged with the crime but Afeni Shakur believes her son's killer is dead.
Shakur told XXL, "I think the person who killed Tupac, I think he's dead. But beyond that, if I'm wrong and it's somebody else, I still believe that that person has to carry that. What I know about the criminal justice system in America is that they cannot punish him like God is going to punish him."
Although Afeni Shakur wasn't specific, she may have been referring to Orlando Anderson, the man that Tupac Shakur and his entourage beat up several hours before Shakur was shot. Anderson, who was questioned by Las Vegas police following the shooting but released, was killed less than a year later in a Los Angeles shooting.
Afeni Shakur added that she buried Tupac's ashes on her farm in Lumberton, North Carolina, saying, "Yesterday, which was June 16, 2003, we put Tupac's ashes in the ground after seven years... And we pray that people will allow him to be gone. I think we should let him be. He earned it."
In the interview, Afeni Shakur shared some intimate details of her son's last hours, "Tupac was never conscious from the time I saw him. He was never conscious. I believed that he would make it through because the doctor said that even with one lung, Tupac was extremely healthy and strong, and it was entirely possible that he could recover if we could put him somewhere quiet for six months. We were prepared to do that, but Tupac's organs started to shut down."
She continued, "Once they tried to take Tupac out of the coma, and Tupac started to fight, we believe that Tupac was not interested. Tupac died seven times and they revived him seven times, and then I asked the doctors to allow him to be. And that's what we did. We let him be."

That's a tough one.. Keep bringing a loved one back, and then just eventually deciding it's for the best, and what he wanted, and let him go..
That would be a tough thing to do, esp. to your kid.

7 Years After His Death-Will Tupac Return
Saturday marks the seventh anniversary of the death of rap star Tupac Shakur. Although a lot of folks won't admit it publicly, trust me, some will be looking for him to return from the dead.
Yes, I know it sounds crazy. But if the rumors about him faking his death, which emerged shortly after the November 1996 posthumous release of his Makaveli album ``The Don Killuminati: The 7 Day Theory,'' are true, then Tupac should surface this weekend.
After all, here's a man who, while alive, sold 6 million albums but since his death has sold more than 30 million.
To this day, he remains one of the most admired figures among young people around the world.
It's hard for many to believe that he recorded all the material released since 1996 before passing away.
A Tupac album has been released every year since then, and they have included dozens of popular songs that sound as if they were recorded yesterday. The fact that you can turn on the radio and hear him rapping in new songs alongside Nas and 50 Cent has only heightened the speculation.
In recent years there have been books, Web sites, documentaries and an ABC ``Nightline'' show exploring the rumors and theories that Tupac faked his death to escape his record contract or hide from government officials or pull the ultimate publicity stunt.
The ``7-Day Theory'' links the number 7 to significant events in Tupac's life. For example, he was shot on Sept. 7 and survived for seven days. The time of death was 4:03 (4+0+3=7). He starred in seven movies and recorded the album ``Don Killuminati'' in seven days. There have been seven albums by him released since 1996.
All this is accentuated by the fact that Tupac often rapped about dying and returning from the dead, a la Makaveli.
In his song ``God Bless the Dead,'' released in 1998, Tupac says, ``Rest in peace, Biggie Smalls, referring to his rival, the Notorious B.I.G., who died six months after Tupac. In another song, he makes an off-color reference to Jay-Z, whom he hardly knew but who was getting a lot of criticism from fellow rappers when the album was released.
In any case, on Saturday the Tupac album title ``All Eyez on Me'' will take on new meaning.
Did he fake his death? If he didn't, a lot of folks who have been anxiously waiting and studying him will have to find another passion -- or hustle -- depending on how you see all this.

More on the Eminem Produced Track - Running
Notorious B.I.G. and Tupac
Earlier this year we heard Eminem rhyme over one of Tupac's beats. Now the deceased hip-hop rebel is rapping over one of Slim Shady's tracks.
Eminem recently completed production of "Running (Dying to Live)," the first single from the upcoming "Tupac: Resurrection" soundtrack. In addition to the verse from Pac, the record includes a Notorious B.I.G. rhyme for the first verse.
"Check it, I grew up a f---in' screw-up," Biggie says on the song. Later he raps about wanting to be the "the black Frank White," a nickname he adopted, and continues his assault.
"Run from the police/ Picture that n---a/ I'm too fat," he barks. "I f--- around and catch a asthma attack."
Em constructed the beat with hammering piano chords, violins and bass. The King of Detroit also sampled blues-rocker Edgar Winters' "Dying to Live" for the chorus: "Why am I fighting to live, if I 'm just living to fight?/ Why am I trying to see, when there ain't nothing in sight?/ Why am I trying to give, when no one gives me a try?/ Why am I dying to live, if I'm just living to die?"
Tupac rounds the record off with his militant street-soldier poetry. "A couple of movies now the whole world trying to screw me," he says. "Even the cops tried to sue me/ So what can I do, but stay true sippin' 22s of brew…/ Misery is all I see, that's my mind state ..."
"Running (Dying to Live)" isn't the only record Eminem produced for the "Tupac: Resurrection" soundtrack, according to an Interscope Records spokesperson, who would only add that the soundtrack will also include songs from Pac that tell a chronological story of his life and career.
The "Tupac: Resurrection" soundtrack comes out on November 11 and features four new Tupac songs in all as well as a slew of his greatest hits. The film that inspired the soundtrack hits theaters on November 14

There's also a new mixCD out by Dirty Harry, DJ Vlad and Green Lantern with a lot of unreleased 2pac stuff over some classic beats. Some of it features new material recorded by Busta Rhymes, Jadakiss, and more.
it's actually pretty good. one of the few forms of mixCDs that I find worth listening to.

2 versions were
Runnin - Street Version Radio Edit
Runnin - Street Version
also the song: He Made My Heart Sang by Quala & MC Breed I think, can't recall the other song.. at the moment.
What I never understood, is even the street version had some words censored out it seemed although it must have been done on purpose since throughout the song the f word among others is clearly said without censors.

Can't get to much 2pac for my taste, even it's watered down, and rehashes of stuff I already had on bootlegs and stuff.
