Lollapalooza - Re-entry??

hello all,

going to lollapalooza this friday, and i was wondering if re-entry is permitted, or if you're stuck in the venue all day.. would love to be able to go out to the parking lot and cook, as i don't want to eat or pay for venue food all day...

There is "probably" no re-entry once you leave.

But I would imagine it depends on what venue you're
going to. Call them and ask or go to their website for
concerts in general.

I haven't been to festival in years where you could leave and
come back. Especially because of security issues and having to research people.

Give them a call and water is probably all that you can bring in. If it's sealed and that's a maybe.

I went to the St. Louis one so that's what I have to go on.

I feel the same way about the ridiculous prices on food and drinks at these things.

I would eat a big meal right before you go as to cut down on costs.

I've never really been or heard of a huge concert venue allowing reentry. The show doesn't start until 3, so you should have to worry about food, except for dinner, if you eat lunch at a normal time before getting to the show.

chances are No on the reentry. havent been to Lollapalooza since around 95, but usually day events like that have no reentry. I say eat lunch at your car before the event if it's around 1 gate opening time.

Gates open at like 1 and the show doesn't start until 3. The main stage went something like this

Rooney
The Donnas
J5
Queens of the Stone Age
Incubus
Audioslave
Janes Adiction

J5 and QOTSA may be flipped, I can't remember that well.

At the show I saw that was that order. The second stage started at 1 and the gates opened at 12.

So did you sweat a little?

From several different friends, I heard the worst part of the day/night was Perry Farrell. Not one of my friends was impressed w/ him and they said all he did was bitch and moan. Quite a few of them left the show not even halfway through Jane's set. So what did you think? What were your highlights and lowlights? And did Perry suck that badly? For years I have heard that he was the worst part of their shows, but I haven't ponied up the cash to find out.

Perry was awesome when I saw Jane's Addiction last fall. Maybe he's hit or miss. I'm going to Lollapalooza next Friday, so I'll give some feedback on how he was this time when I get back.
