Manic Street Preachers - 'Lipstick - A Secret History' US release?
I was wondering if any US Manics fans knows if this 2 disc b-sides/live album is slated for a US release. cause as my (mis)luck has it, I always tend to buy the import rather hastily before I know if a stateside release is announced.

It is! I was at Virgin in Times Square last week and saw this was slated for a mid-August release. While this is great news, I find that the imports of their albums tend to have better packaging.

Giles, Just order it online, It is fantastic, I love it, I think We are all bourgeois now is a great song, its attributed to McCarthy who I am not sure who it is
as is prologue to history
The 2nd disc is all covers and is wonderful everything from Wham! to Nirvan and the beatles.
35 songs on the 2 cds. I don't think even if it comes to the us it will be on sale for less than 17 dollars, and I got it and the new Phonics cd for 33 dollars shipped from amazon.uk
I would have to say that manics would be my 1 desert island band..

I own every song on it already, except for the 2 new tracks. I've heard them though--Judge Yr'self is amazing. I heard it would be released here August 5th, but I may be wrong.

for those who hadn't bought the import:
(from musictap.net)
Epic gave us word about a Manic Street Preachers release called (Lipstick Traces) A Secret History of The Manic Street Preachers. This collection has been available everywhere else but here in the US. That changes with this December 28 release.
talk about late!

Good news, although some of the covers are pretty weak. "Mr Carbohydrate" is one of my all-time favorite Manics tracks.
