2 Pac Question

I love alot of his stuff....("Keep Ya Head Up") ("Brenda's Got a Baby"), but there are ones I cringe when I hear ("Hit Em Up"). I wanted to ask, could you name for me all the names of @pac songs that are positive and have little to no cussing in them. Could someone list for me all the ones they can think of. I'm trying to put together a 2 Pac "Keep it Positive" album.

2pac is a great artist, and while a lot of his stuff is like "Hit 'Em Up" (I always laugh when I hear that, especially when 2pac makes fun of someone for having sickle-cell anemia), but he does have positive and almost-clean songs. Here are some that might suit you.

I Ain't Mad At Cha (slight cussing, including an f-bomb, but it has a positive message)
So Many Tears (This is one of his most beautiful songs - it's an elegy)
Changes (This one played on the radio a lot - I think the part about the crack dealer is funny, but then I have a morbid sense of humor)
Unconditional Love (Good song)
Dear Mama (2pac's most sentimental song, ever)
California Love (2pac's original party anthem, and a brilliantly produced song. Get it)

All of the above are on the Greatest Hits album. There are a few miscellaneous ones I can remember off the top of my head:

Until the End of Time
Baby Don't Cry (Keep Ya Head Up II)
Letter 2 My Unborn
Thugz Mansion (Although I prefer the Nas Acoustic version)

2pac is a great artist.. Looked at some of what I had in my itunes folder realquick that fit your description..

I would say you may like, (excuse the duplicates)

SONG ALBUM
* Keep Ya Head Up - Strictly 4 My N.@.@[email protected].
Good Die Young - Still I Rise
Baby Don't Cry - Still I Rise
Do For Love - R U Still Down
I Wonder If Heaven Got A Ghetto - R U Still Down
Dear Mama - Me Against The World
So Many Tears - Me Against The World
Me Against The World - Me Against The World
* Thugz Mansion - Better Dayz
Mama's Just A Girl - Better Dayz
* Picture Me Rollin' - All Eyez On Me
Heaven Ain't Hard 2 Find - All Eyez On Me
I Ain't Mad At Cha - All Eyez On Me

The ones with * are the ones I like better, but all worth a look. Some or all have some explicit lyrics but not very heavily I believe.

Went through ALL of his albums, ended up with 50 songs... so I cut them down to 25 [when he DIED]. It was hard to cut down, especially to a specific of positive songs. I had to stay away of Keeping personel favorites to comply with what U requested... Anyway I HOPE this HELPS.

ahh...you guys forgot one

It's actually one of my favorite 2Pac songs called "Can U Get Away", it basically talks about how he(Tupac) wants to help this young girl out who is in a abusive relationship. Very positive message, and very laid back style. It's featured on "Me Against the World"

I think "Keep Ya Head Up" and "Brenda's Got a Baby" thematically could have gone on "Me Against the World" and really would have made that album a classic. I would have replaced it with
"F--- the World".

Rumor is that that song was to Left Eye of TLC they had a "relationship" at on point. I'll go find the link.

I'm sorry that you don't like Hit Em Up.

That's probably my most favorite song ever.

The insults are so ridiculous.

Re: 2 Pac Question

**20-year thread bump** The new FX limited series Dear Mama premiers with 2 episodes tonight at 10 pm eastern.

They are each 90-minute episodes. Couldn’t find a thread in TV section. Looks cool though

Re: 2 Pac Question

I remember back in the day one of my crushes from school was a 2Pac fan so I went and listened to his whole discography. I can still rap most his songs by heart 20 years later. Amazing how much impact he had in such a small period of time.

Re: 2 Pac Question

So the guy confessed to the crimes years ago and only now are the police arresting him?

Yeah, I'm not aware of all of the particulars, but for whatever reason his confession wasn't admissible, so they had to wait for him to fuck up an incriminate himself in other ways.
