Every single one, if I don't like all the songs then forget it.

Most of the albums I own, actually. If it's not a complete album, I just rip the good tracks and give away or sell the CD. Considering all the music I've owned over the years, I don't have enough storage space for filler. I must have hundreds of albums that I can listen to without skipping tracks, so it would be pretty daunting to try and list them all here.

Obvious stuff would be "concept" albums (Dark Side, The Wall, Scenes From a Memory, Operation: Mindcrime, etc), concerts, musicals, and scores as they're complete experiences. Similar to your list, I find that most of my complete albums are older stuff, often from the classic rock and metal genres, and a lot of early 80s "alternative" rock. As the music industry has (d)evolved, it seems more and more difficult to find solid albums that rock from start to finish. Filler pisses me off.

wish I could say "most of the albums that I own"...

see, even artists whose stuff I avidly collect are capable [at times] of doing one or two songs that I don't really care for..

Prince, for example...His 1996 album Chaos And Disorder. I love it. Great album. Great songs.

Except...for track 5 -- Right the Wrong.

I hate this song. Can't stand it.

Does that lessen my opinion of this album as a whole? Nope.

Will I not play the album straight through because of the speed bump known as track 5? Nope.

When I read the thread title, I thought Rypro meant albums that demanded [musically, lyrically, spiritually & whatnot] that you listen to them from start to finish...

my examples:

All of them. I've never bought a cd for one or two tracks.

[old man voice]Back in my day, we had to listen to albums all the way through. And we were happy for the privilege...[/old man voice]

Like many have said, lots of them. One that I'll mention because it's not an album most people would think I would like is the eponymous Warren Zevon album - the one with "Frank and Jesse James" and Mohammed's Radio" starting off each side.

ditto. Not only because I liked (at least one) song before I bought it, but also because everytime I listen to any kind of music, it grows in me.

I can not only listen to Crosby Stills & Nash's "Couch Album" all of the way through easily but on replay for hours. I often play it over and over on long drives or in the office.

I took the thread to mean albums that demand you listen to them all the way through. i.e. albums you don't put in when you are going on a short car ride to work, knowing you won't be able to listen to it all the way through.

Dream Theater - Metropolis part 2 - Scenes from a Memory
    Queensryche - Operation Mindcrime
