the 20 worst songs all on one cd! ( late 90's teen "pop mix")

I saw an ad while watching mtv 2. I was cringing, "hey these are all the songs I hated in the late 90's.

01 Larger Than Life | Backstreet Boys
02 I Think I'm In Love With You | Jessica Simpson
03 All Or Nothing | O-Town
04 He Loves U Not | Dream
05 Candy | Mandy Moore
06 All Star | Smash Mouth
07 Aaron's Party | Aaron Carter
08 No More (Baby I'm A Do Right) | 3LW
09 Blue (Da Ba Dee) | Eiffel 65
10 Absolutely (Story Of A Girl) | 9 Days
11 C'est La Vie | B*Witched
12 Gotta Tell Ya | Samantha Mumba
13 Never Had A Dream Come True | S Club 7
14 Bring It All To Me | Blaque
15 Dancing Queen | A-Teens
16 Us Against The World | Play
17 Steal My Sunshine | Len
18 Kids In America | No Secrets
19 Dance With Me | Debeleh Morgan
20 Move It Like This | Baha Men

Hey these were all the songs that the girls were loving (my gf loved most of these songs when they were popular.)

Steal my Sunshine by Len is a summer classic. The rest of that is a remarkable collection of total shite, IMO.

I've honestly never heard of 90% of those songs, and I must say I'm pretty proud of that. I'm pretty sure it's mostly crap.

I've not heard one song from that list (except for the ABBA version of Dancing Queen).

But since I haven't been a teen for over 13 years, I don't think it was geared towards me, anyways.

Actually even when I was a teen, I listened to punk, metal and alternative rock. But I'm sure early-teen girls would eat this up.

Of the songs I've heard on the cd, this is the worst. Not only do I hate it, but it glues itself into my head every time I hear mention of it. Thanks to this thread, I'll have "This is the Story of a Girl/Who cried a river and drowned the whole world" in my head all day."

Dammit.

"Steal My Sunshine" and "Dance With Me" were pretty good.

I'm surprised "Larger Than Life" by the Backstreet Boys is on there. I would have thought the esoteric and idiotic "I Want It That Way" would be there instead.

I guess they wanted more "up beat" songs on there.

It looks disturbingly similar to the "Kidz Bop" series in both album art AND track listing... oh what a surprise they're both sold by www.musicspace.com

Fans of "Steal my Sunshine" (apparantly there are at least 2 of you) would do well to check out the Kidz Bop version...

I find this thread ironic considering your "tastes" in music.

Not too bad if just way too over played:
06 All Star | Smash Mouth
09 Blue (Da Ba Dee) | Eiffel 65
10 Absolutely (Story Of A Girl) | 9 Days
17 Steal My Sunshine | Len

You know they should really play that "All Star" song in a movie or two. Perhaps even at sporting events. You just don't hear it all that often.

I liken Len's "Steal My Sunshine" and

09 Blue (Da Ba Dee) | Eiffel 65

Other than that...

I'm pretty sure I would hate all these songs except that the three songs I've heard (setting aside the remakes; I've heard the originals) I like -- "All Star," "Blue," and "Steal My Sunshine." I agree, all overplayed, but to me still enjoyable (especially now that I hear them rarely).

Makes me wonder if I'd like the rest of the songs if I ever heard them.

Naaahhh....

That "Steal My Sunshine" song was pretty cool... Doesn't make up for the other 19, sadly.

This CD stinks, Kidz Bob stinks, and pretty much all of those "NOW" cd's stinks. Modern Pop compilations are terrible, people need to stop buying these. And those who are, should just download them.
