Joni Mitchell - Big Yellow Taxi - for the first one (or one of the many covers/remix/sample songs that it spawned)

BTW, it's "They paved paradise and put up a parking lot"

I've no clue on the second one...

Covering Joni Mitchell, of course ...

Artist: Counting Crows featuring Vanessa Carlton
Song: Big Yellow Taxi

Lyrics:

They paved paradise and put up a parkin' lot
With a pink hotel, a boutique, and a swingin' hot spot
Don't it always seem to go
That you don't know what you got till it's gone
They paved paradise and put up a parking lot

They took all the trees, and put em in a tree museum
And they charged the people a dollar and a half to see them
Don't it always seem to go
That you don't know what you got till it's gone
They paved paradise, and put up a parking lot

Hey farmer, farmer, put away your DDT
I don't care about spots on my apples,
LEAVE me the birds and the bees please
Don't it always seem to go
That you don't know what you got till it's gone
They paved paradise and put up a parking lot
Hey now, they paved paradise to put up a parking lot
Why not?

Listen, late last night, heard the screen door slam
And a big yellow taxi took my girl away
Don't it always seem to go
That you don't know what you got till it's gone
They paved paradise and put up a parking lot
Well, don't it always seem to go
That you don't know what you got till it's gone
They paved paradise to put up a parking lot
Well now, they paved paradise
And put up a parking lot

I don't wanna give it
Why you wanna give it
Why you wanna givin it all away
Hey, hey, hey
Now you wanna give it
I should wanna give it
Now you wanna givin it all away

Hey, paved paradise, put up a parking lot
Paved paradise, and put up a parking lot

Artist : Bad Ronald
Song : Lets Begin (Uncensored)

CHORUS:
We're gonna light the weed
Tap the keg
Shoot the ****
Now lets begin
We're gonna kick right back
We're gonna sit right down
Enjoy it girl ya gonna love the sound...
DOUG:
Im holding but im bout to cop some more
I'm real high' cause I smoked a lot before
So What you stoppin for, keep passin' by
Smoke good weed, get a long lasting high
I know it might be right, I know it might be wrong
But If I'm gonna have a drink it might as well be strong
It's not the beginning and it's not the end
We gonna pass the **** around, you can hit it again
Let me be young, live life how I can
Don't get the wrong idea of what I actually am
Like a flash in the pan, so hold on tight
Catch little buzz and everything will be alright...
CHORUS:
once the beer starts flowin everything'll be fine
I'll be stuck up at the party, tryin to get mine
Left paw on wine, right margarita shakin
Tryin to concentrate but I'm straight space cakin'
Life is Erie like the lake and i be forgettin what I know
My girl told me to wait, but I had to come and go
Yo steady with the flow, palpitation precision
Glue my feet to the track, to properly ride the rhythym
Taking and I'm giving, living for today
Cause karma gonna get you in the long run anyway
And in the short from the sport I was straight Charles Bronson
In Houston with Allen, you was lickin Larry's johnson
CHORUS
KAZ:
Everybody raise your drinks to the sky
Mr. DJ, make ya sound amplify
Lovely ladies, get up don't be shy
And listen up, as I clarify
My mission, to why I'm spittin
Cause y'all be whinin' and bitchin' moanin' groanin' and dissin'
There ain't no hate in my crew
We just do what we do
We ain't stoppin we got plenty of trees and enough brew, so...
Everybody raise your drinks to the sky
Mr. DJ make yo sound amplify
Lovely ladies, get up don't be shy
Go for yours, don't be standin by...
CHORUS
(Let me be young, live life like i can-you gonna love the sound...)

Google ... first result on both. It helps to spell the words correctly, though.

The Counting Crows song is on their Hard Candy CD. You won't see it in the track listing though as it is a hidden track. It comes after a few minutes of silence on the final track.

It turns out that the version on the cd is not the same version as the radio (which for me is a good thing), but my brother likes the radio version. The radio version has female vocal. anyway to get this verison.

"up go round, pretty baby, whoah and me" or something like that. Its from the tv spots to the "flipper" 90's movie.

Pinhead Gunpowder did a pretty good cover of Big Yellow Taxi on their Jump Salty disc if you are looking for other versions.

While were on the topic I heard a song on the radio not too long ago, it sounded a lot like RATM, the only lyrics I rememver are "I killed a man" over & over. Any ideas? New Zach De LaRocha?

The Counting Crows song is also played many times in the movie "Forces of Nature" (a Hugh Grant / Sandra Bullock... come on, guess the genre... romantic comedy).

Nice cover.

Keb Mo also did a version of "Big Yellow Taxi."

Also, I think Forces of Nature was the Ben Afflect/Sandra Bullock movie, Two Weeks Notice was the Hugh Grant/Bullock one.

I don't think I should have admitted to knowing that.

This might have been RATM's cover of Cypress Hill's 'How I Could Just Kill a Man' off of there Renegades album.
