Is it just me or does Vanilla Ice look like he has hemorrhoids on that cover art?
Avril selling out to Hollywood? But what would her fans think? Isn't she like, a rebel or something?

I'll probably see this. I like Avril. Don't really understand why on a music forum no one likes her brand of music. You can relate to it.

Her music is terrible, uninspired, and lame. The thing that pisses me off the most is the fact that she has to always make a point about how cool and punk she is, how much "different" she is than Britney Spears, how you should wear tank-tops and ties together becuz that's totally punk. The stupid bitch doesn't write any of her songs or do anything more than sing other than strumming a small portion of her songs. She sucks; at least Britney knows what she is.

This is getting quite far from the original topic, and probably isn't far from being closed, but...
Liking/Disliking her music really doesn't mean much. Sorry, but she's just another manufactured pop star. Her latest album had some decent songs on it, but I could have cared less who the singer was. Since I'm not a big fan of her vocal abilities, I'd probably have liked it better if the songs were given to another artist.
Avril herself seems like a genuine bitch in person. In almost every interview I've seen her give, she seems quite stuck on herself. Her fake punk image makes the persona that's been created for her all the more annoying.
That said, liking "the people who put together her album's" music does not equal liking Avril, and vice versa. The people that write and produce the songs that end up on her albums are at their position because they know how to create decent hooks and catchy lyrics. Enjoying the songs or writing them off just because they are "by Avril" seems illogical. She probably doesn't relate to her songs anymore than Lateralus in reality...
Having a passionate hatred of a band that performs a cover of the Beatle's "Hey Jude" doesn't mean you will all of a sudden start hating the song. This is slightly different, but not much.
