Last year I saw Ozzy Osbourne on the Merry Mayhem tour co-headlining with Rob Zombie. I've seen Ozzy several times before and he always put on a great show, but this time it was almost pathedic. Maybee It was because he followed Rob Zombie who put on one of the best stage shows I'd ever seen. Ozzy should not have followed Zombie

Respectfully, I don't think you can be remembering this correctly. Also, I'd like to know what venue, so I can avoid it.

So many crappy shows I've been to hard to pick one
Well
Sugar ; Bob Moulds band. They played 40 minutes. He didn't even acknowledge the crowd of the 15 or so songs they played only about 4 maybe were on the album. When he said "THank you goodnight" I was like "Thank you goodnight? Get your butt back out here". He comes back for the encore and says "Hey I think we know one more" then plays You Really Got Me. I got in for free and I wanted my money back.
Everclear- every song sounded the same, and it was like watching 4 guys who never played together before.
Veruca Salt- the songs sucked and they sucked. And I had the misfortune of seeing them twice.
Metallica- every damn song sounded the same!!
Teenage Fanclub- How could a band have an album that was so good ( Bandwagonesque) but be so horrible on stage. They just stood there and looked at their feet. Hence the term "shoe gazers".
The Jayhawks- they were flat out boring. They did do I Am The Cosmos for the encore though.
The Mighty Lemon Drops- Trying to milk that goth vibe for all it's worth. Sorry guys, time to be original.
Cheap Trick- As much as I love Cheap Trick they've played a few stinkers in their more recent history. About 2 years ago I saw them at Foxwoods Casino. The set they did wasn't their best material and they only played 50 minutes. They played a show back in 1995 that was terrible also. They trotted out Roy Wood who was in the band The Move. For the encore they said "Let's bring Roy back out" the whole crowd said "NOOOOOOOO!!". After the first song in the encore Rick Nielsen said "If this isn't cool for you it's too bad because it is for us". Glad one of us had a good time.
Def Leppard- Around the time that album Adrenalize came out. They mailed in a performance that sucked like a hoover.

"America"
Their concert stunk IMHO, my favorite "Ventura Highway" didn't even come close!
They got a lot of 'boos' that night besides learn to play your instruments.

Wow I just saw them last week and thought they were great. Probably the 2nd best show behind Audioslave. It was high energy and everyone sounded great. One of the better concerts I've been to.

I was only dissapointed by two concerts:
The Cult:
I enjoy the band's music, I have their albums on CD and all, but when I saw the band live on stage, they were absolutely horrible. Probably one of the most horrible live bands I've ever seen. I mean, the band played the music very good but it's Ian Astbury's singing that was bad. Keep in mind guys, when bands, tour, they go on a long tour and not all of their shows in every tour is good. It's not their fault if they play a bad show once in a while, sheesh. Some musicians just lose it when going on long tours and stuff. In the Cult concert, there was a few times when Ian Astbury forgot some of the lyrics of some of the Cult songs, that's when the audience started booing at him as soon as they noticed he forgot the words of the songs, plus Ian was being an annoying dick between songs, and the audience was trying to boo him off stage. It's just saddens me that Ian will leave the Cult to sing lead for the Doors, Ian Astbury is the most egostotical musician that I kind of lost respect in these guys.
Everlast
I'm a huge Everlast fan, I love his solo work with "Whitey Ford Sing the Blues" and "Eat at Whiteys" albums, but he was a terrible performer live. The sound equipment sounded like crap, he sounded out of tune a few times, etc. The audience didn't cheer for him that much either. They didn't boo at him or nothing like that, the audience was very quiet throughout his entire performance. It seems to me that the audience was looking bored and I was too.

I have to agree that Guns and Roses sucked because Axel's voice was horrible live. Motley crue was bad because of Vince Neils crappy voice. He sings every 6 words. Not all pop metal bands singers can't pull it off live. I seen the Scorpions a couple times in the 80's and the singer sounded exactly like the studio recording.

The '92 show obviously sucked, but that was before they were THE SMASHING PUMPKINS. The '96 show was the best out of the three I saw. The H.O.R.D.E. Fest show wasn't all that bad, but the 100-degree-plus weather probably made it seem worse than it was.
Missed them in '91 in Norman (with Pearl Jam and RHCP), and in '93 in OKC.

Another vote for Smashing Pumpkins. This would've been May 1994 or so, they played at my college and Billy had a mad-on for no apparent reason that night, they played poorly and then ended the show at barely more than half an hour and stormed off stage. Everyone in the audience was like "WTF"? Really a shame because I was very into them at the time but Corgan had nothing but contempt for the audience then.
