Since we're all on "Blinded By The Light", I have a funny story about that song as well. Man, I still remember this like it was yesterday, but it had to be the mid-70's. That song came on the big TV/stereo that we used to have in our livingroon (with the record player built in ). I was listening to the radio with our babysitter who I thought was way-cool and I remember she was talking about how she just figured out what the song was about. She then explained to me what a "Silicone siter with the manager mister" actaully was. Having no idea what prostitution was, I found it fascinating that there was a service that allowed you to have someone come over and spend the night with you-- sleepovers whenever you liked, how cool is that? I told my mom all about it when she got home. The next time the babysitter came over, she gave me a stern talking-to about what we do and don't tell our mom about after she comes home.
To this day I still find it funny!

I never quite understood what "I'm stranded all alone at the gas station of love & I have to use the self-service pump" meant when I was younger.
(One More Minute by Weird Al, in case you were wondering.)
