How are Pink Floyd a waste of talent? They had an incredible career that eventual just panned out and died off, like most bands.

Try and get someone else to kick you too. You deserve it.

Of course they had a great career....but it could have lasted longer. Unfortunetly the two heads in the group couldnt co-exist with each other and the *true* Pink Floyd was cut short. Dont get me wrong I still like Gilmoures version of PF, but it in no way can match when Roger & David were together.

Gotta agree with Layne Staley. Man Alice in Chains were brilliant and totally overshadowed by the other big 4 grunge acts(nirvana, peal jam, soundgarden, STP)
Mad Season is one of the best albums of all time. IMO.

Have to add one more, even though I don't listen to this kind of music but
Christina Aguilera has a killer voice but wastes it doing bubblegum pop. She would be great in a prog band.

I think I woke up this morning in Bizarro World.

(...is that Cat Power over there singing Justin Timberlake?...)

So maybe the prog thing is a stretch but I've heard many a female prog vocalist(Nightwish, After Forever, Ambeon to name a few) that are in her vocal range. I would never waste a penny on that crap but I am a big enough person to admit she has some great vocal chords. Among other things.
