Today's CDs (4/9)
1. Modest Mouse - The Lonesome Crowded West
2. Modest Mouse - This is a Long Drive for Someone With Nothing to Think About
3. Blood Brothers - Burn, Piano Island, Burn
I didn't know if I would like the Blood Brothers album, but I gave it a try. Granted, it took a little while to grow on me, but now I can't stop listening to it. The title cut is especially good, but I suggest it if you have even a slight interest in math metal or hardcore in general.
See, I really do look at everyone's lists of CDs (since I got this after seeing Yancey praised it)!

Jayhawks - Rainy Day Music
Moby - Play
Old 97's - Fight Songs
Paul Simon - Graceland
Ben Folds Five - Whatever and Ever Amen
Diana Krall - The Look of Love
Goodness, looking at that list, I feel like somebody could peg my age within 2 years with little difficulty. Really, I swear I was listening to ...Trail of Dead yesterday.
Listening to the Jayhawks CD for the first time. I like it musically, though I agree somewhat with someone who'd posted a few weeks ago that the lyrics are somewhat weak.

Glad you gave the Blood Brothers a try, fallow. It's a great record (check citypages.com this week for my review), though ARE Weapons and the upcoming Rapture album have displaced it from my early year-end top spot. I'm home sick today, but I've been listening to:
Junior Senior, "Move Your Feet"
A comp of my favorite songs from last year
DFA Muzik Mix
DFA Singles Comp
DFA Colette Mix
Black Dice 12"
