Ticketmaster Question

just bought some tix over ticketmaster, and I choose on error, the "email" option to deliever tickets.

How does this work? Do I just print them off and take them to the show? Something doesn't seem right about this.

can anybody offer some insight?

I'm not sure about Ticketmaster, but there are some ticket places that offer the option to print out your own ticket. When you print it, it is coded with a UPC type hidden code; when you get to the show, the venue scans it with a handheld scanner, verifying it, and voiding your ticket 'serial number' so you couldn't just print off thirty copies of one ticket. Or technically, you could print out thirty copies, but only the first one scanned would be valid. That's what they did when we went to the House of Blues a couple weeks ago; we had 'real' tickets, but he just scanned it with a handheld and waved us through. No more ticket stubs, we kept the whole ticket.
I would assume that's how they do it. Maybe the email will either have the tickets attached, like a PDF, or more likely, a link to a secure website where you could enter your account name/password or other verifying data and then print it off.
