you know, those songs that have the over powering drums, girls trying to destory their vocal chords, and usually you have to go up and slow dance to.
mine are

Ozzy "Mama, I'm coming home"

Whitney Houstin "I will always love you"

I guess these qualify as "power ballads":
Male - Skid Row's "I Remember You"
Female - Belinda Carlisle's "Heaven Is a Place on Earth"

Haha, good taste!
I'm mostly into heavy stuff, but I have this soft spot for well-done female vocals. "Total Eclipse..." is undoubtedly another worthy selection. Some others:
"Eternal Flame" by the Bangles
"Weak" also by Belinda (That was the title, right?)
Moving back to the testosterone crowd:
"I Saw Red" by Warrant (Stop laughing!)
"Sweet Child O Mine" by Guns N Roses (Qualifies, right?)
I'll probably come up with more later; I'll either post again or just edit this.

These are mostly love songs (most of Celine's music, and as well as most of Mariah's music) with an over use sort of of drums and the strings. Examples are "My Heart Will go on", "a moment like this", "mama I'm commin Home" ect.

</small>Is that a Jim Steinman composition? It seems odd no-one has mentioned Meatloaf in this particular context: I thought that together those two had the genre sewn up!
