Whoo Hoo! The one I'm seeing has DT as the closer.
QR needs a revolutionary new album like DT had with Metropolis 2. A revival if you will. I was looking at half.com at QR cd's and most went for around $7. Not bad for used. Q2K? $1.99. Sad.

Let me rephrase that ...
OH HELL ****ING YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!
Great show. Fates Warning went on at 8pm ... the show ended at 12:30am. FW wasn't bad and only played for 40-45 minutes. The rest was all Dream Theater and Queensryche. I was afraid we'd get short-changed with the two headliners, but they each gave full sets.
Our show was the same as Houston for QR, and DT

So let me get this straight. According to dreamtheater.net the band went into the studio in early march to record a new cd. Since they are currently touring shouldn't the album be done? There hasn't been a mention of it. 3 months per album has been their norm lately, and that times it just right to the beginning of the tour. So what gives? Has James or Mike mentioned anything at the shows about it?

Glad you enjoyed yourself das. Someone posted pics from your show here.
They are about 70% done with recording their parts. The tour is a nice break evidenced by the "escape from the studio" verbage on the merchandice. Instead of writing and then recording like 6DOIT, much of the material was written and demoed before going into the studio. (Yay!!) I think coming off this tour will give them a nice energy to evaluate the stuff, finish, and then mix. There will be a proper tour to support the album. Mike has said they were inspired by the two shows in which during the second set they covered a entire classic metal album of their youth in its entirety (Metallica, Iron Maiden) Whether that means more "Awake" sounding remains to be seen. What we do know is that it will not be a concept album, nor 2cds. It is also being recorded in a different studio (possible outside producer?) away from Bear Tracks where they recorded a majority of their albums.
