Today's CDs (3/27)
Hem - Rabbit Songs
Fountains of Wayne - s/t V/A - general mix CD from co-worker's brother Ryan Adams - Heartbreaker The Connells - Still Life Rhett Miller - The Instigator Interpol - Turn on the Bright Lights I really like the Hem CD; great orchestration, and the lead singer has a wonderful voice. Calm folk-pop. I'm going to try the Rhett Miller CD, but I've tried it before here at work on my CD-ROM, and it didn't play, even though it seems to play OK at home. I suspect that it's one of those CDs with the anti-copying technology that prevents you from playing them on the computer, which leads me to the following 2 questions (unsearched in the archives): 1) Is there a workaround? 2) Is there a listing of CDs with the technology (so I can avoid them)? |
Ben Harper - Diamonds on the Inside

Listening to mp3s of The Microphones and The Replacements, though. I've also been listening to a mixtape my friend made me. It has artists like Bonnie "Prince" Billy, Stereolab, Radar Bros., Magnetic Fields, and The Lucksmiths on it. I think it is one of the best mixtapes anyone has ever made me... |
