Rock Me Amadeus with timeline???
Hey all,
OK...i'm asking you to go a bit far back for this one...
Remember Rock Me Amadeus by Falco?
Well the version that I always hear in clubs doesn't have any German lyrics but has a timeline of Amadeus' life and has more of the chorus in it. Does anyone know which version this is? All the ones on the compilation cd's have the german lyrics and no time line.
I know...i'm a geek. But surely someone out there knows the answer to this

I have the 12" single and it's on there. The b-side is Vienna Calling. Can't remember if it was ever released on a cd.
Check out eil.com if you're really desperate. They have it, but it's kind of expensive.

I looked at my original 45 that I bought when the song came out. The version you speak of is called the "Canadian Version". The one with no time line is called "The American Edit". Again, this is what it states on the original single 45.
It does say on the 45 that the original version appears on the A&M album "Falco 3". I would guess that the original version is the timeline one but I am not sure.
When I was a kid, the only version they played on the radio was the time-line version in my area. I didn't even know the other version was popular.

Brian,
Every mix cd that I've bought that has the song on it is the German version. I haven't been able to find the "canadian version" on cd. I'll have to start looking for it now tho. I appreciate the help!

In case you can't find it anywhere else, Buy.com has a various artist cd which has this track that you are looking for. I don't know if it is the exact one that you want but if you listen to the sound clip it does have the timeline in the song. Rock Me Amadeus.
