Yeah I thought the 8 Mile soundtrack largely stunk... Whoever produced that Rakim track needs to be SHOT for giving one of the greatest emcees of all time such a pathetic beat. I think Superman should do well as a single, one of my favourite tracks on the album.

Now he's raking in the Oscars!

Look out! Marshall Mathers is an Oscar winner! "Lose Yourself" won the Oscar for Best Original Song.

He didn't attend the show, though. I wonder if he has the same kind of contempt for the Oscars like George C. Scott and Woody Allen, or if he was just scared he'd get booed.

Who would boo him? He's a great artist with an obvious amount of talent...the last few years have belonged to him, he's got so many awards he's going to need to buy Delaware just to house them all.

And trust me, this guy could buy Delaware.

NEW> #33 - Sing For The Moment. Eminem rakes in another Top 40 hit!!

Plus, I just found out that Lose Yourself is the longest-running Number One single (12 weeks) to win the Academy Award. Prior to Eminem's song, the champ was Debby Boone's Oscar winner You Light Up My Life from 1977, which spent 10 weeks at No.1.

Today I caught the tail end of a new Eminem song on my local rap station, has anyone else heard it? All I heard was something about Air Force Ones and him defending his label, anyone know what this is from?

Charlie Goose 04-21-03 07:11 PM

When Eminem first came on the scene, I wrote him off as Vanilla Ice with a better haircut. I freely eat crow for that, because he is one of the more talented artists in today's music. If I may be so bold, he is the shiznit!

Don't know why they would be playing that song, but that is an Unrelased song that came out against Ja Rule. Its called Invasion.

I figured it was something to do with that. They play all sorts of stuff like that during their 5-6 pm show which is supposedly a DJ in the studio mixing live.
