I reviewed it and enjoyed it. I don't think that it is as great as Mezzanine, but I think you should definitely make the purchase.

Not as great as Mezzanine, agreed, but it definately has its moments.

Particularily good are the songs "What Your Soul Sings" and "A Prayer for England", which rival the best of Mezzanine. Sinead O'Connor's voice blends perfectly with the ambience of the music.

Overall, definately worth picking up if you're a fan of their other stuff.

I agree with the 2 above posts. Not as good as their previous stuff, but worth a pick up for fans of the group.

I love it. It grows on me everytime, so I'm not exactly sure where I'd rank it in regards to their other records. My favorite album is Blue Lines and this record is quite different. The Sinead tracks are stunning.

I'm very disappointed with it .. and was ready to sell it back to the shop .. but decided I'll probably keep it just for .. I dunno .. just being a sad completionist, I guess. Without a doubt, it is their weakest / only weak album.

It is disappointing that Massive Attack made an album of elevator music .. boring droning music .. and this for a band I would rate as one of the three best bands I have ever seen in concert.
(the Mezzanine tour.)

The only track that immediately stands out is "A Prayer For England".

So my advice is, if you're missing out on any of the first 3 albums, get those instead.

I like it. I agree that it's probably their weakest album yet, but it's still a good album. I particularly like 'Special Cases' and 'Antistar'. I think they both have an odd energy about them that I haven't heard in MA's music before.
