How many monikers does Will Oldham have?

Seriously. I've heard him referred to as many different things: Will Oldham, Palace Brothers, Bonnie "Prince" Billy...are there any I'm forgetting? And why does he have so many?

You're forgetting Palace, Palace Music and Palace Songs.

I also tend to count Bonnie Billy separate from Bonnie "Prince" Billy.

As far as why, I'm not really sure. I personally have the stuff he released as Will Oldham filed under O, the Bonnie stuff under B, and the Palace stuff under P. The point when it started to bug me was when I bought the Rian Murphy/Will Oldham (and I guess the Marquis de Tren/Bonnie Billy while we're at it) cds.
