One Rolling Stones fan got his final wish Sunday -- to be on stage with the band.
The only problem was, the fan was no longer of this earth and the Stones didn't know about it.
The Boston Herald reports a woman came to the Stones show Sunday in Boston at the FleetCenter with a plastic bag containing her husband's ashes.
She asked the security guard at the runway stage if she could dump the ashes on the stage. But the staff said it was probably not a good idea.
FleetCenter spokesman Jim Delaney says 10 minutes later, the woman was tossing the ashes onto the runway.
Before staff could figure out what to do, the band was on stage and Mick Jagger was dancing on the ashes.
Delaney says the Stones were not aware of the ashes until after the show.
It really amazes me when people really think that a dead person is going to appreciate anything that we do for them after their gone.
