Wilco - New EP and DVD

As they gear up for tours of Australia and Japan, Wilco are readying an EP for release early next year. The six-song set features two cuts from the Yankee Hotel Foxtrot sessions (the outtake "A Magazine Called Sunset" and an alternate take of "Kamera"), the tour staple "Bob Dylan's 49th Beard," and three new tracks ("Handshake Drugs," "Woodgrain" and "More Like the Moon").
The new songs were recorded in the last few months and could also appear on the next Wilco album. "We've got a few hours of stuff recorded," says drummer Glenn Kotche of the full-length follow-up to Yankee Hotel Foxtrot. "Some are regular songs. Some are complete improvs. A lot of the things are very loosely structured, where [frontman] Jeff [Tweedy] will kind of make up songs on the spot. We're going back in March for a few weeks, and it'll be time to buckle down."
The DVD version of Sam Jones' Wilco documentary I Am Trying to Break Your Heart, once slated for a pre-Christmas release, will be out February 18th. In addition to the original film, the DVD will feature bonus footage, interviews and performances of more than twenty complete songs.

amazon, DDD, and buy.com all have the DVD available for preorder. and if you can't wait for the CD EP, you can buy the 2-disc yankee hotel foxtrot on amazon as an import from australia (which contains the ep).

Excellent movie! I was wondering..., excuse my possible ignorance, but Amazon has this available for preorder. It has it listed as "Anamorphic Widescreen" format & another version as "DVD Widescreen" format. Any idea what the difference might be?

That's probably just a goof on Amazon's part. I don't think they'd release sepertate anamorphic and non-anamorphic versions.
Anamorphic widescreen means that if you have a 16x9 tv, anamorphic discs will "unsqueeze" the video so that it takes up the whole screen (no black bars). Widescreen discs that are not anamorphic will not do this - you will still see the black bars.
