Smashing Pumpkins "Vieuphoria" DVD

Got this dvd yesterday...I've neva had seen the VHS version...It's a PRETTY AWESOME dvd...it has the original Hour and half stuff from the VHS...they added an hour's worth of LOST CONCERT footage from '94...plus a ten minute making of siamese dream... Iwished that it had more SIAMESE studio FOOTAGE...but 2 hours 30 minutes is alot and enuff to satisfied...good buy ($14.99)

I used to have the VHS, but a friend never returned it I had it in my hands Tuesday but put it back thinking Santa might bring it. I've since rationalized buying it now that I have a coupon for Best Buy that came with the new Fox demo disc. Is any of it in 5.1?

Not nearly as interesting or loaded a DVD as last year's Greatest Hits disc, but the hour's worth of Siamese Dream-era live stuff is worth the price alone. The SD recording studio footage is nice (but much of it is repetitive--we have seen a bunch of it in Vieuphoria already). The Vieuphoria stuff is pretty much identical to the VHS version.

With this DVD and CD release, it pretty much mirrors what we saw at this time last year with the Greatest Hits DVD and CD.
Hopefully, next Thanksgiving will see the release of the last show at the Metro in 2000. . . (and I wonder why we got the phorias this year instead).

Yeah I picked this up too. I'm excited to get any pumpkins related stuff, so it was good. However I hear ya, the additional stuff isn't really that different then the original included footage.

Virex, supposedly from what I pick up on other message boards, they didn't release the metro dvd, because Billy and the people responsible for the dvd were to busy with those Stupid (in my opinion) GOTMOG cartoons or whatever..

If and when that dvd does indeed come out, I can rest a happy man.

Great video, but one question- not that it matters, but during the "lost tapes" section, the person playing the electric cello thingy, is that a man or a woman?

Unfortunately this person already has several factors working against them, and if they are a woman, well, that's just another one to chalk up.
