The Password isn't meant for everyone in the first place. The Presale opportunities and passwords are part of the price you pay for membership to the fan club. Just like any other real fan club. When people give out the password to people who aren't in it, that takes away one extra seat that could have gone to someone who paid for it.
No one's following any sheep. If you were a member, you would see just how much your 30+ bucks gets you. No ones forcing anyone to join, and it's not like people who aren't in the club can't go to shows anyway.
Besides, the reserved seats aren't even as close to stage as floor tickets are in most cases.

I just thought the idea of joining TOOLARMY just to get a pre-sale password would be a little silly. I'm not knocking anyone who did join the club. I know charging $$$ to join the club serves several purposes. First, it weeds out those who aren't true fans who would otherwise be lurking in the shadows. Second, it pays for the membership merchandise you recieve. Third, it pays for the cost of running TOOLARMY.
At the same time, I wouldn't knock any fan who decided not to join. It doesn't make them any less loyal or less of a fan. I didn't join, but I still buy all their CDs and DVDs and go to their concerts. And believe me, there aren't many bands who I can say that about......
