Listen to the new Sixpence None the Richer CD!

You can listen to the ENTIRE new album at their website:

It's pretty good. I also saw that they are playing in Cleveland on October 30th, just may have to make a roadtrip as it's the only date listed so far.

I listened to this last week and think it's wonderful. I didn't doubt it would be good since their last CD was simply excellent from start to finish. People who only know Sixpence from "Kiss Me" don't know what they are missing. While I was listening to their new CD I was thinking that THIS is what the Cranberries could have done with their career. Sixpence has just upped the ante with "Divine Discontent".

It's been exactly 5 years since their last recording came out. Talk about patience through their contract woes.

BTW, look at the similarities between Sixpence's new cover art (from your link above) to this Sparklehorse cover:

Didn't Matt Slocum leave the band? He's the only reason I thought they were talented.

No, Matt is still with the band. He and Leigh are pretty much the band. I believe their drummer left last year and their original bassist left years ago for Plumb. Anyway, the band said it was very hard for them to wait two years to put this CD out, but over that time they recorded 4 more songs and replaced them with songs they were sick of singing. I believe that actually enabled them to release a recording that is stronger to them.

Just gave this a listen. Wow, great album! I don't have anything by this band and only know them from that "Kiss Me" song. Good stuff!

Wasn't the drummer her husband? He is in a band called PFR that had broken up but now they are back together.

It's possible her husband has drummed with them at times (?).
He definitely is the drummer for PFR.
