Folks just call him Buckethead.

He's got a new CD coming out on October 8th entitled Electric Tears. Anyone know what to expect from this or has anyone heard any clips from it? I know he released one just a few months ago, but I haven't gotten it yet.

Sometime earlier this year, a friend at work let me borrow Monsters & Robots. Until then, I'd never heard of Buckethead but after listening through the album I was hooked. There were some tracks that I could certainly do without -- I don't pop this CD in to hear Bootsy Collins ramble. This friend let me borrow Praxis CDs and a few other things Buckethead appears on. After listening to Monsters and Robots hundreds of times, I decided to try and get his entire discography. I just recently placed an order for 3 of his other CDs: Giant Robot, Colma and Day of the Robot. I'll get his other stuff shortly. For Buckethead fans, what are some of the most essential recordings to get a hold of? I know he's worked on a lot of different things and he can be heard on a lot of different albums.

I'm seeing him live Nov 18 - he's in Guns N Roses now

Haven't heard any of his solo recordings yet, but looking forward to his solos during the GNR show.

The only thing I've heard from him was a solo on DJ Qbert's Wave Twisters, but it was pretty swank.

Yeah, I know he's been in GNR. I've been thinking I might have to attain a recording of their Rio performance.

He used to play with Les Claypool in Primus as well. He's badass.

Seem like a really cool guy I've been following him for a while now, though I don't snap up his stuff religiously. He appears on two tracks on the Last Action Hero soundtrack, so don't forget that one.

Unfortunately, it seems like some of his most notable work is out of print.
