DTCMDG: Help choose the first piece to be discussed (Classical Music)
Yes, here it is... the first DVD Talk Classical Music Discussion Group (DTCMDG) Poll!
We will be choosing a recording every two weeks - if you want to keep the items on here or have a new biweekly poll say so in the thread. This also holds true for write in candidates. Polls close on Wednesday, September 18th. Write-in candidates accepted too!

Personally I think we should discuss the differences in how Salieri and Gardener interpreted Mozart's Requiem Mass. Both of which are astounding interpretations and also two of the greatest recordings ever done in both the music sense and the audiophile sense.

I'm not familiar with that recording (I have the Hogwood version myself) but have a lot of the other things Gardiner has done. I have put the recording on my Amazon wish list though, and look forward to hearing it.

Hmm no votes for Allegri or von Bingen yet (hope neither gets shut out)... and Mozart and Bach running neck and neck...
As I've responded to individual posters, please post suggestions for future polls in this thread, and I will see that they make the list.
