Anyone else like Finch?
I got turned onto these guys about a week ago. It's a damn great disc. Anyone else listening to them?

I've been a huge fan of Finch for about 20 years now. Are we talking about the same band? My Finch is a really, really obscure '70s band from Holland that released 3 incredible albums ("Glory of the Inner Force", "Beyond Expression", and "Galleons of Passion") and recently released a new 2 CD set called "The Making of Galleons of Passion" that includes unreleased demos and concert material. They can be best described as similar to the '70s band Focus. If this is the Finch you're talking about, then WOW! I thought I was the only one around here who even knew who they are.

nope, not the same Finch. The Finch I'm talking about is a relatively new band out of California with a punk/emo sound.

Yeah, I sorta suspected as much. I'm a huge collector/fan of obscure '70s rock from all over the world and you'd be surprised how many band names from today have already been used before. How many have heard the late '70s British metal band Toad the Wet Sprocket?

Deftones,
Yeah, I like Finch. I picked up their disc a couple of weeks ago. I'm a little turned off by their Incubis-ish vocals, but I still like them.
If you like Finch. Check out Taking Back Sunday. They're a really cool band. They've got the whole screaming vocals thing. You might also like Thrice -- sort punk/emo/metal with the screaming vocals as well.
