P diddy dropped from label!

P DIDDY has been dropped by his record label BMG/ARISTA. The superstar has been ditched because he is too expensive and controversial.

Diddy is said to be "stunned" by the decision, "but trying to be philosophical".

P Diddy has struggled to match his global success of the Mid-90s, with worldwide hits such as his 1997 tribute to his murdered pal Biggie Smalls, 'I'll Be Missing You'. But while his sales have slumped, his lifestyle is reported to have become increasingly extravagant, with lavish demands, huge entourages and expensive videos. He signed 25 bands to his and BMG's Bad Boy label, but with little success.

A friend of the star's said: "He doesn't do things by halves and the books just weren't balancing. But don't write him off. He has immense talent and we're sure he'll bounce back."

So if I sample Every Breath You Take, ad a little extra reverb and create a lame "tribute" does that mean I am talented too?

The clock is at 14:59 Mr. Diddy...

Perhaps they'll replace him with a singer-songwriter?

Why do we even know who "P Diddy" is?

What's his new name going to be? Diddy Squat, who asks you if want to super-size your value meal?

I thought P Diddy owned his own label. That's pretty freakin lame, if he was let go by his own company.

also from the site
"There is some good news for the star - Sony and Universal are reported to be interested in signing him." i think if one of those 2 record lables sign him, they also get bad boy and the entire crew from that clan

I don't care if he still has millions to his name or anything, but anything that stops him from unleashing the pablum he calls "music" upon the world, at least for a little while, is a big in my book.

Eh who cares? I'm not happy because of it, thats kind of harsh being that I don't know the guy. But it doesn't bother me, its not like I ever listened to anything that came out of Bad Boy.

He does own his own label, his distributor probably dropped him. He'll be back with a major soon, or get into selling his own stuff and cutting the middle man out of the profit.

I doubt he's "stunned" by this. It's been in the works for some time now. First, 112 tried to get off his label, then Arista [probably reeling from wasting all that $$$ on crackhead Whitney] told him the whole "bling, bling" thing wasn't working.

Oh well. About time.

You have to think about it on the Label's side of it all.. I mean is there anymore classic songs he could Destroy by mixing them? Nope. I think he destroyed them all already so the label sees it as he has nothing left to offer.

I mean hell, it's not like he can make original songs.

The best artists he ever had: 1 died, 1 quit and the last fought to leave his label. Other than that he has nothing to stand on.

Died- Notorius B.I.G.
Quit - Ma$e
Left - The Lox

Time to celebrate, today is a great day in the Rap world, finally someone with some balls laid it on him about his terrible album sale's,if he would have just stuck to producing he would still be on that lable, you see this is what happens when you try to rap with no talent.
