The Greatest Rapper I've heard in years...

Thanks to this forum, I've been exposed to some great rap artists... Atmosphere, MOP, and a few others.

I just found a rapper that, in my honest opinion, is just simply awesome.

Tech N9ne.

I'm checking out an advance copy of his new one "Absolute Power", freaking amazing. THe first album is "Calm Before the Storm" and is also freaking incredible.

Just wanted to share.

Credit for this "discovery" goes to Dayewalker of the main forum.

I believe the official release date is September 24th, but if you wanna hear the album now you can get it from IRC if you've got the time. I've already got the CD reserved because it comes with a DVD that has lots of concert footage and stuff, plus it has 6 bonus tracks on it as well.

Where did you reserve it at? I wish to do the same.

This is one of those artists that ...you have to hear to believe. He is simply brilliant.

Look out, here comes Tecca Nina... I've had this ****ing hook in my head all day

I reserved it at Sam Goody in the local mall here. I'm sure if you've got any music stores similar to it in your area you can do the same.

Wow, nice.... I like, I would buy it if it came to Marshall. I guess if Dayewalker got it SamGoody and we have one maybe we will get it.

Unless you had to special order it?

I've never listened to any of his music, but I'll 'acquire' a couple of tracks. If it sucks Thunderball then you owe me a "Royale with cheese"

I never liked Tech Nine. Rappers need to stop talking about crap like tech nines and freaking bling bling. Go listen to some hip hop, some Jurassic 5, ATCQ, Eyedea, Asheru and Blue Black, Swamburger, Mos Def, Blackstar, etc etc.

Oh man, I just My bad. Fans of this kind of music, support Thunderball and get yourself some Tech Nine!

Never heard of any of these people.

But then again, the last rap album I bought was by N.W.A.

Tech is from Kansas City, Mo. and his past records may not be guest star-heavy but they are fierce. (indie rap kinda)

I think he's alright but nothing great.

His latest is floating around if you wanna preview before a purchase.........which I would do on almost any hiphop cd before purchasing these days.

I think compared to most rappers today (Cash Money Crew, Master P's garbage, etc), Tech N9ne is the ****.

Not your fault. Reminds me of all this east bay rap I heard from the get go, Mac Mall, E-40, that type of sing-songy delivery. I personally can't stand it. I think I listened to about 6 or 7 of the songs randomly, then gave up. Not my cup of tea

Uh... I think compared to Cash Money Crew or Master P, a donkey pooping on a Casio keyboard would sound like music from angels in hiphop heaven.
