"Dancing Barefoot"

She is benediction
She is addicted to he
She is the root connection and
She is connecting with me

Here I go and I don't know why
I spin so ceaselessly
Could it be he's taking over me

I'm dancing barefoot
Headed for a spin
Some strange music drags me in
It makes me come up like some heroine

She is sublimation
She is the essence of thee
She is concentrating on
He who is chosen by she

Here I go when I don't know why
I spin so ceaselessly
Could it be he's taking over me

I'm dancing barefoot
Headed for a spin
Some strange strange music drags me in
It makes me come up like some heroine

She is recreation
She intoxicated by thee
She has the slow sensation that
He is levitating with she

Here I go when I don't know why
I spin so ceaselessly
'Til I lose my sense of gravity

I'm dancing barefoot
Heading for a spin
Some strange music drives me in
Makes me come up like some heroine

O God I feel for you
O God I feel for you
O God I feel for you
O God I feel for you

======================

Anyone know this song?

There's also a really good cover of the song by Johnette Napolitano from Concrete Blonde. That version appears on the Spirit of '73 compilation CD.

The U2 cover was originally on the b-side of the "When Love Comes to Town" single.

My college roommate and I went through three cassette copies of that single playing and rewinding that song over and over and over again.

I agree...It rocks(U2 version)! Glad they decided to rerelease it on their B-side compilation CD, along with their other kick-ass b-sides.

dude! the way the edge plays the guitar on the u2 version is fu.cking brilliant! especially during the the breakdown in the middle. I can't decide whether he kicks a$$ more on this tune or on U.T.E.O.T.W. or even The Fly. On which track do you think the edges murders everything else the most?
