Question for those going to see Springsteen

Ok. I have my GA tickets. The show starts at 7. I'm an idiot when it comes to these things, but what time should I show up to start standing in line? Assuming I want to be right by the stage?

I'd say at least 4am in the morning, no later than 5.

And to think - those really were the serious answers.

For U2's general admission tickets, people camped out the day before.

If I were going, I would be there by 7Am, but noon seems more reasonable.

The big difference between U2 and The Boss, is that the entire floor is open for Bruce. The big deal for most U2 fans was to be in the 1st 300 spots so you got in the heart (or along the outside rail of the heart)

I did the floor twice for U2, early in the tour (April 24, 2001) I got their at 8:30am in the morning and was number 30 in line (got in the heart), but by the 3rd leg to get the same spot you would need to be in line the day before (Probably around 8:00 - 9:00pm the night before)

But I did a GA for November 19, 2001 and went in after almost everyone (7:30pm) and still got 15 feet from the tip of the heart which was awesome. (Could have gotten closer, but needed to stay away from some screamers since I was *ahem* cough* "saving the event for later listening" *ahem* cough*

Have fun... would love to have GA's for "saving" Bruce...

And I appreciate you saving that event! Nice work!

Personally I don't see much of a difference between waiting for U2 and waiting for Springsteen. Fans of both acts want to be as close to the stage as possible - whether that's in a heart-shaped walkway or smushed up next to the stage barricade.

The same rule applies: the earlier you get there, the better.

Looks like the only show of yours that I have is L.A. 11/13/01. Nice work on that one.

YGM (taken to a private discussion, so we don't offend any mods)

See my U2 thread in the feedback forum for no answer to my question...
