Fozzy.......

I'm assuming you're talking about the Fozzy featuring wrassler Chris Jericho and members of Stuck Mojo, who released a CD of 80's metal covers.
I loved it! I really enjoyed the loose, live in the studio approach as opposed to slick overproduction. The song selection was great, too. Not just the same songs you've heard over and over again on the radio. I'd really like to see a followup.
Edit: Just looked on CDNow and Fozzy is releasing a new CD on 7/30 called Happenstance. No track listing though...

I think I remember reading somewhere that this album would be all originals...while they're a good band for the covers...do they have what it takes to do their own stuff?

They're funny!
They think EVERYONE from OZZY to KISS stole their act.
