Jimi Hendrix - "Are You Experienced"
Jefferson Airplane - "White Rabbit"
The Beatles - "Tomorrow Never Knows"
The Electric Prunes - "I Had Too Much to Dream Last Night"
CCR - "Suzie-Q" (listen to that middle section)
Rolling Stones - "The Lantern"
The Byrds - "Eight Miles High"
The Kinks - "Lazy Old Sun"
and early Pink Floyd most definitely.

Glad to see that my top two are in there--Journey to the Center of the Mind (BTW I saw Ted Nugent and The Amboy Dukes when it came out--he was the opening act for Tiny Tim!
However the correct answer is "I Had To Much To Dream Last Night". Hearing it is the closest thing to teleporting back to the 60's.
dvd-4-life's list did bring back some other great memories.

But I will make the claim that Beatles' "Tomorrow Never Knows" and Byrds' "Eight Miles High" paved the psychedelic road for everybody else (although Kinks' "See My Friends", done in 1965, might be a strong contender as well). But feel free to disagree, 'cause I'm not as smart as I let on...
