Pigeon John (LA Symphony)
Skillz (formerly Mad Skillz)
Eminem
got to squeeze in one more: J-Live

saoirse - good to see someone else likes Chino XL - he should be huge. Too bad more people don't know about him. His debut lp is excellent.

Great line from Chino XL's new album (there are so many gems on this one):

"You sound like me so much I think my sperm's in your water supply."

I'm so happy I don't see an overload of votes for Jay-Z. Don't get me wrong, I loved his first two albums (especially Reasonable Doubt), but since then, he has fallen off, way off. Most of who's listed though, I do really enjoy. A couple I need to see out, check out, and then probably buy though.

Word! I never listened to Aceyalone though. And I've never even heard of Illogic. I'd have to throw idea in there. My sig is from him as well as, "If you had one hour to sum your whole life up, would you spend the hour arguing that an hour's not enough?"

Eyedea is unbelievable. One song compares living like a human to living like a fish.

I think "A Book of Human Language" might be out of print, but try to find a copy; it's one of the best albums of the past 5 years. Along with his Freestyle Fellowship/Project Blowed classic material. Look for some samples of Illogic's "Got Lyrics?", I think you'll be impressed with his flow & lyrics, as well as blueprint's production.

I own Eyedea's First Born, and it's a'ight. Some of his songs are too freshman-psychology for me, though.

On a side note, I'm surprised by all the votes for Common; LWFC straight puts me to sleep.

Put me to sleep too, he's still one of my faves though. I prefer his older stuff.
