Anyone looking forward to the new Counting Crows?

I am

Haven't heard any of the new stuff, but I'm greatly anticipating this. IMO, one of the best bands around.

Yeah! I have heard the whole album. It is really great!

My favorite songs are:

American Girls
Good Time
Miami
Goodnight LA
Richard Manuel is Dead
Up all Night
Hard Candy

well the WHOLE CD IS GOOD!

July 9th for U.S. release!!! They are going to be touring with The Who as well, and I will be seeing them at the Gorge on the 6th! So that should be pretty cool. If you want to hear any of the stuff, toss me an email. It's low quality promo (official), but it is still AWESOME. NOT MP3s!!!

Once again, a great album by the Counting Crows! AD is an awesome song writer.

I am really looking forward to this CD! I happen to be in London so I can pick up the UK version with 2 extra bonus tracks! I'm so excited. Although, I wasn't very happy when I went to go pick it up yesterday (amazon.com and a store flyer said it would be oout the 1st) and no one had it. Oh well, another week to hear what promises to be a great album!

I loved their first three CDs and will definitely be picking it up sometime. Unfortunately, I'm broke as I haven't worked since May as I'm stuck at my parents house until starting grad school in Aug. and there's not jobs in this craphole town.

I only have money for one CD this month, and that'll be DMB-Busted Stuff.

Guess I'll pick up CC and the Chili Peppers new CD in August, or maybe my fiance will pick them up and burn me a copy to hold me over.

SECRET ACOUSTIC SHOW!
Yep that's right! The Crows are doing an ALL ACOUSTIC show at the Bowery Ballroom in New York City on July 14th!

If you live in the tri-state area and were registered with the mailing list (and correctly entered your zip code in the mailing list registration form), you would have been the ONLY ones to even know the tickets went on sale! And YOU bought all of them up in record time!

So what is the moral of the story? REGISTER FOR THE MAILING LIST NOW! And, make sure to enter in ALL of the info, as you can see how important it is!! You'll be clued in to special events happening in YOUR area among other cool things, and WE AIN'T KIDDING!

They're also performing/taping @ "Last Call with Carson Daly" on July 10th (air date unknown at this time). I tried to get free tix, but haven't gotten any response.

Yes, I'm looking forward to it. I heard Ryan Adams is supposed to be singing on one of the tracks.

So has anyone bought it today? I went by Wal-Mart at 7:00am to see if they had it out, and of course they didn't. (My Wal-Mart sometimes doesn't put out "Tuesday Releases" until Wed. or Thurs.).

Can't wait to hear it!!

I just tried to get it at Best Buy, but they were all sold out. What's the point of having it on sale if you can't keep it in stock? I went 45 minutes after it opened!

Richard, try the Richmond and 610 Best Buy. They did not get their shipment in until after the store opened and they didn't hit the shelf until about 10:30. They may still have some.

That's actually the location I went to. I wonder if I got there too early.

EDIT: I just ordered it from their website. Since they had free shipping, I couldn't pass it up. Now I don't have to go to another store today to get the $9.99 price.

I picked it up today. I really like it so far. CC really have a signature style. Anyone else know what I mean about that?

Picked it up last night -- and I'm really impressed. I know what you mean -- they have a distinct sound that lots of bands CANNOT imitate. The sound has progressed -- or maybe just changed -- from album to album, but it's still a sound I love.

Put the CD in your computer -- you can go to a "secret" website that has a short paragraph by Adam about each song. That's something else I love -- reading what a writer has to say about a song.

So far, I love it. It'll only get better.

Just seeing if anyone picked this up. It may be one of my favorite albums that I have, and I have plenty.

Anyone else like it?
