Problems with Gorillaz CD

I bought their self titled CD today and put it in my computer and in both my DVD drive and in my CDRW drives the tracks would not play. It would try to play the track, but only get a split second or two out of each track before skipping to the next one. I could not get one track to play. To make things even stranger, I can save the tracks as MP3s to my hard drive with Nero, so I don't think it's a case of copy protection making the disc unplayable. So right now the only way I have to listen to it on my computer is by putting all the tracks on my hard drive, which I didn't really want to do.

I didn't have any problem copying the tracks to my hard drive (and it's for my personal use I saved them to my hard drive, not for pirating purposes; I purchased this CD today). So I don't want to mark the CD...wouldn't that render the ROM part unreadable? My problem lies solely in trying to play the CD.

Sorry, I lent my copy to a friend so I can't try it in my drive. Is your HD not big enough to accomodate the mp3's?

I got the MP3s made just fine, the disc just will not play. I get a feeling it has to do with the ROM content, as my new Wilco CD does the exact same thing, and it also has ROM content.

Try holding the Shift key down on your keyboard while inserting the cd in your pc.
