We cannot fail to mention "Bombs Over Bagdad" by the Outkast. That was probably my favorite video of last year. The Knight Rider move with the hooptie makes me really happy every time I see it.

...and it's got a monkey.

Speaking of monkeys, there's a pooping monkey in "Rock Star" by N.E.R.D.. It's also got Randy Quaid in it... in little pants. Funny video. You can watch that one at www.n-e-r-d.com

Gotta agree with Michel Gondry. The man's a visual genius. If his (and Spike Jonze's) videos were ever compiled for an anthology, that would be ever so sweet!

Say, I remember a Cibo Matto video where the two ladies were walking around the city (via splitscreen). If I recall, on one side of the happening normally while on the other side of the screen, everything's in reverse. And then halfway through the video, forward and reverse are switched (sorry if this sounds confusing). I've only seen this video once, and it must've been 6 or 7 years ago. But if anything, that should tell you how much of an impression it left on me. Was this the one directed by Michel Gondry? Wish I could watch it again.

Yup, that one is Cibo Matto's "Sugar Water", directed by Michel Gondry.
