Today's CDs (6/5)
Bought a few new discs yesterday...
DJ Shadow - The Private Press
Los Lobos - Good Morning Aztlan
Robert Randolph & the Family Band - Live at the Wetlands
Shadow's disc is great, but not as much of a departure from Endtroducing as I would have liked. Los Lobos, as always, has turned out an excpetionally good album, and Randolph's disc is just spectacular.

And, why listen to an imitation when you can hear the real thing? Anyway, is Once We Were Trees any better/different than their debut?

You should check out the Country Teasers. Music doesn't get much uglier than this. Imagine a trio of Scottish racists and sexists making country music. It's wonderful.

Nice. I love this disc. If you get a chance to see them live, do it. Such a fun band.

By the way, are you planning to see Trey? I caught both Vegas shows this past weekend, and they were simply awesome. The first set on the first night was some of the best music I've ever heard the man play...with or without Phish.

Surprisingly, I like it even better than the Word's disc and any of the Word shows I've got. Randolph's a great discovery...one of the most exciting guitarists I've heard in a long time.

I saw Trey in San Francisco and it was amazing. Unbelievable show. The band is so much tighter than the last time I saw them.
