Uh Oh here comes the Biggie/Pac debates...

Em's got some excellent songs but to me his whole shtick gets annoying after a while. The nasal voice is killin me.

Can't believe I'm going to say this, but the new Eminem single is kind of catchy. I have no clue what he's singing because I was only paying attention to the music. Comparing Eminem to Tupac doesn't help me out because I think I felt more incredulous (in a very very bad way) about Tupac and his stupid "Thug" shtick than Eminem's cartoon antics. I guess I'll just never understand sadistic, boastful rap music. I'm actually glad I don't get most of it.

I really only think a couple of the songs are "Cartoony" the rest of it is pretty serious and raw music.

I don't know man even if you want to be a hater its hard
the kid just throws down for Hiphop/rap heads.
The beats are usually top notch with cool little tweaks compliments of Dre thrown in and E twists your noodle with unique and vibrant lyrics and phrasing. Party music with attitude

I think she was 4-5 when he first came out in 99. So I think she is 7-8 now.

Just as he says in "business"(one of my favorite songs on the new one), the first section speaks about 100% truth:

"You're about to witness hip hop in it's most purest" followed by
"Hip Hop is in a state of 9-1-1"

Eminem is one of the MOST talented rappers around today. There aren't many who can keep up with him. His albums range from comedy(Without Me), to Serious (Sing for the Moment).

I'm sick of peopel comparing him to Vanilla Ice. Ice had 0 talent, Em is up there among the greatest.

The Eminem show is one of the greatest hip hop CDs I've listened to in a long time.

I'm a fan of hip hop(to an extent). I can't stand mainstream rap too much, just too fake. Ja-Rule/Jay-Z are the only two "mainstream" guys I can deal with anymore. I've gone underground to guys like Atmosphere, the Lost Boyz, Cannibal Ox, etc. I used to love Wu, but they have seriously dropped off...

And I'll add my .02 to the 2Pac comment. He was #2 in my book, gotta give #1 to Biggie.

Well for one its DR.DRE the best producer in the rap game

You need some serious help. I could name so many producers who are better then Dre.

But I'll start and end with 1.....Primo

nuff said.

As for Eminiem, I'm kind of in the middle. Okay he has a unique flow, but his voice is annoying. And what's up with him dissing Moby? Is he afraid that anybody else in the hip hop game will rip him to shreads?

OMFG!!!! First the Dre comment and now this.

Biggie #1 aside, how can you put 2Pac over...

Public Enemy (Chuck D)
Rakim
Big L
(Insert basically anybody else here)

Newsflash: Any artist that sells millions of albums probably has a lot of white people listening to them.

I agree with this quote! But, I think with this 3rd album Eminem has topped Biggie and Pac, IMO. I think it's funny as hell how people compare him to other "white" rappers such as Vanilla Ice. How about comparing him to the entire rap scene? The guy is on TOP of rap, but since he's a white rapper he won't get credit. ..and not one time has he said the "N" word

LupinIV - i wonder how many of these eminem fans here are black, i bet they're all white. WTF does that have to do with anything? If it's good music it's good! I don't care if the person is purple
