Wedding Songs (first dance)
Anyone have some suggestions for a first dance song at a wedding?
It's sneaking up real fast (July 6th) and we have yet to decide.
We both enjoy music a lot but have nothing "super special" that means something to us where it's a "given" that it'd be "our song".
So we need some help!
Also could use input for Father/Daughter and Mother/Son dance.
Must be SLOW song, as I DON'T DANCE (minimal movement is a plus! lol)

I found a website just yesterday called www.ultimatewedding.com and they have tons of song suggestions. They have intro music, first dance, removing the garter, processional, money dance, etc. It was very helpful.

I'll check out the site thanks.
Do they have audio clips, looking for a site with decent size audio "samples".
Also looking for some "personal choices" from you guys, not only "lists".

Our first dance was "It Had To Be You" by Frank Sinatra. There is a decent version on the When Harry Met Sally sountrack too.
Your choice really depends on the type of wedding you are having and what you want to say to each other.
We had a rather large traditional wedding so an old standard seemed really appropriate for us.
Weddings! Ours was two years ago and though I swore I would never go through that kind of stress again now I wish I could do it all over again!
Well, at least the reception part!

how so? I am sure that you do not think that the two songs are even remotely similar. Have you listened to either of these? If so, how do you see a comparison between the two?

Have you heard Ben Folds' "The Luckiest"? Not sure if it's right for a dance, but it's a beautiful song for a wedding. We are definitely having it played at ours next May.

Hey Brian...
Ben Folds Five - The Luckiest is a good choice. (Penny Lane has excellent taste in music) Awesome song!
If I think of any, I'll reply.
