Background poker music

Me and my friends have a casual poker night every week or so and i'm looking for some good music to put on in the background.

Tricky thing is is that it should be appropriate to a poker night and yet not be too distracting at the same time.

Any ideas?

Can't go wrong with Esquivel. When I play poker, I either have that on or some classic jazz, like Miles Davis' "Kind of Blue" or Cannonball Adderley's "Something Else". Haven't had any complaints so far!

The best poker music is the Blues.

Muddy Waters
BB King
John Lee Hooker
Ledbelly

Definitely some jazz. You've got to conjure up that smoky visage of nightime dealings. Some Tom Waits tunes would fit quite nicely into the mix too. Heavy Metal is for playing Dungeons & Dragons.
