Best Female Rockers

Who are your choices? Mine are:

Chrissie Hynde (hands down the queen, IMO)
Toni Halliday (lead singer of Curve)
Liz Phair
Aimee Mann (O.K., so maybe she doesn't "rock. But she's the best songwriter out there)
P.J. Harvey
Shirley Manson
Kim and Kelley Deal
Kristin Hersh
And an honorary mention to Cindy Wilson for being the most fun to watch on stage. Plus she does have a good set of pipes

Sarah Blackwood (Dubstar)
Skye Edward (Morcheeba)
Heather Small (M-People)
Beth Orton
Tracey Thorn (Everything But the Girl)
Bjork
Lisa Gerrard
Elizabeth Fraser (Cocteau Twins)
Sarah Nixey (Black Box Recorder)
Lisa O'Neill (Sing-Sing)

Aimée Mann is the best female singer-songwriter out there by far i'd have to say.

Ever since i saw Magnolia, i've been addicted.

Incredible, isn't she? I've been a HUGE Aimee fan since Til Tuesday. And it wasn't even that first song that got me hooked. I didn't even care for that first album. It was their second and third albums that did it for me. Then of course all of her solo albums. If you don't have them, you must get them all (including the 2nd and 3rd Til Tuesday albums). "I'm With Stupid" is her best IMO. Superb!

Heh, sometimes my memory bank doesn't allow full withdrawals, just small allowances. But you are so right.

It is of my humble opinion that Margaret Doll Rod could chew up Andrew WK, spit him out, bury her 5-inch stiletto into his skull and not miss a beat.

But that's just me.
