NIN - Something I Can Never Have. While the second song is far from upbeat, it definitely got the anger juices flowing.

Great track though!

Wow. While "Something I Can Never Have" is easily one of my favourite NiN tracks, it is so emotionally draining for me to listen to. How can I expect to deliver thundering body checks on the ice if I'm weeping like a babe?

(Note to self: Make sure Something I Can Never Have is played during any competition with raithen.)

I guess I'm getting old too, because the first thing I thought of when reading the question was the original "Rocky" theme (gonna fly now...) instrumental by Bill Conti and "Eye of the Tiger" from Rocky III, by Survivor.
I can't hear those without conjuring up those images of Rocky training and getting progressively stronger and faster, and Mr. T as "Clubber Lang" looking real mean.

If I were an athlete, I'd want to listen to "You Got the Touch" and "Dare to Believe"(?) --not sure. It's the song that plays as Hot Rod and Kup go down from the mountain after they see the Decepticons--from Transformers: The Movie.

I was listening to the soundtrack the other day on the treadmill (I rotate my cds) & I thought I was gonna run off the thing.
